can infection cause a feeling of throat closing?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Bobak Ghaheri
22 years experience ENT and Head and Neck Surgery
Throat closing: Yes it is possible, but in my practice I have noticed that most people who have the sensation of throat closing usually have it as a result of uncontrolled acid reflux disease.
