It depends how low: Your iron level is, and make sure it is not from something else, it will take a lot more than 3 pills to raise your blood count, if it is too low sometimes u need im iron or IV iron or packed red blood cells , if you are feeling bad u need to call your doc.

Possibly: If the iron deficiency is associate anemia it certainly can. Taking iron supplements slowly increases your blood count, depending on how low it was and if you have ongoing blood loss it may take up to a month or more to get your blood count back to near normal....Don't expect an effect in only 3 days. Ps i'm assuming your iron deficiency is due to menstrual blood loss or pregnancy.
