Breast pain: Absolutely not- cyclical pain with your cycle is normal. It's the fluctuation of hormones that cause this. That being said- make sure your doc knows if you have a change in symptoms or persisting pain that is not normal. Follow all mammogram guidelines and start screening early if you have a family history of breast cancer.

No: It is quite common to have some discomfort before the periods...It usually go away after the onset of the periods. This has nothing to do with breast cancer. Breast tumors typically do not cause pain.

Breast pain common: Breast pain has many causes. Tenderness is more common around the time of one's period.
