Yes.: This problem can also be picked up by ultrasound. However, you may not even need to do the test if your history and exam is suggestive of this diagnosis.

Yes/No: If its acute tendonitis you might see it on MRI as inflammation of the ligament. If its not acute it may show up as chronic tearing in the areas.
