Depends: Corns on toes can be caused by extrinsic (shoewear) and/or intrinsic factors. Eliminating tight shoes is the first step. Corn care with shaving, soaks, and padding can help. Occasionally, surgery is recommended for corns caused from toe deformities that don't respond to nonoperative measures. See a foot specialist for evaluation.

See below: Most are caused by underlying bone spurts. The spurs can be removed or use a wider shoe so the toes don't press against each other.

See a podiatrist: Corns are callouses on the toes and are caused mainly by shoe irritation over a period of time. They can just be trimmed by a podiatrist, but will usually come back. The real cause is bony enlargement or malpositioning of the toe. There is a real simple surgert to smooth off the underlying bone and the corn should go away permanently. You can also have your shoes stretched or wear wider shoes.
