I have schizoaffective d/o (depressive type) as a dx. i think i may be having mild manic episodes lately though? how do i know if i am having mania?

SYMPTOMS: Well if your modd becomes expansive or you spend a lot of money or you cannot sleep, these may be indication of a mania or hypomania. Discuss with you physician.

Mania: One of the hallmark features of mania is decreased need for sleep usually with expansive mood, euphoria, or grandiosity and impulsivity such as excessive spending, sexual indiscretion, or other risky behavior. Irritability and/or aggressive behavior may also be a part of mania.
