Depends: Options depend on how long ago she had bypass surgery and if she is on blood thinners. Narcotics are always an option, but she may be a candidate for injections too. If she is on blood thinners and can't stop them, it will be medications and conservative treatments such as pt.

Talk to Cardiologist: If cardiac bypass was recent, you may need advice from the cardiologist regarding what treatments are OK to do. If possible you may be a candidate for an epidural steroid injection based on your doctor's recommendation. Otherwise some newer therapies like stem cell injections or non-steroidal injections might be an option, though they are not covered by insurance.
