See a Derm: Any time you have an asymmetrical mole and especially one that is causing pain, you should see a dermatologist for a check. That may need a biopsy, excision or to watch it, depending on what they think.

Simple.: Means you should probably have someone take a look at it. An alternative would be to take a picture of it and wait and watch. Look on-line for the various presentations of melanoma - if it looks anything vaguely like melanoma see doc soon.
