Doctor will do tests: Bruises mean blood leaked out of vessels in the skin. The liver makes important blood-clotting factors, so liver disease can increase bleeding & bruising. Healthy kidneys are important in vitamin d and calcium metabolism, so kidneys play a role in blood clotting. A doctor must evaluate & do tests, because other serious problems cause bruising, such as low platelets, leukemias, drug effects, etc...

See below: This may or may not be related to your diagnosis. Poly cystic liver disease can cause high blood pressure within the liver. This can cause the spleen to enlarge which can lead to a low platelet count. Platelets help our blood clot. If they are low, spontaneous bleeding may occur. This can be determined with a simple blood test. If normal, other testing for bleeding disorders may be needed.
