Not unusual: 25% of people will have some first trimester bleeding. It does not mean miscarriage but basline risk is 15% of recognized pregnancies. Once you have an ultrasound with a heartbeat this decreases to 2%. It's likely implantation bleeding from the embryo working its way into the uterine wall. Good luck with everything.

Pregnancy bleeding: Sometimes this is referred to as implantation bleeding when everything else is normal. Having a blood pregnancy test and repeating it in 48 hr to look for a doubling of its value will reassure you.
