Sometimes when i spit up a "lugi" a solid yellow chunk comes out that's clearly not a bugger, what could it be, almost seems like a nut but it's not?

Probably tonsolith: Occasionally little particles of accreted white cells can hid in your tonsils and create a little yellowish chink that can very in size from very small to about the size of a head of a screw. They smell bad but are of no consequence.
