Varies: This will vary with the type of STD being tested, the sample needed & whether the test is done at the site or sent to an outside lab. Some tests can be done passively on a urine sample, others on a specimen (swab) from a site, others from a blood test. If you provide more detail on the issue involved we can be more specific within the limited space available to respond.
