Most gene: Changes in leukemia are acquired. That is to say present only in the cancerous blood cells. The majority of the time we do not know where they "came from".

No one gene: There is no one gene that can cause leukemia. Sometimes though genetic alterations (loss or gain of a chromosome fragment) can lead to leukemia. Those are not most of the time acquired and not inherited.
