No: Apl : it is not inherited. But like all cancers, it is caused by disorder of the genes....The why of it is unknown.

No: It is not inherited and not 'genetic' in the sense that you pass it on between generations. There is a specific genetic abnormality that develops that drives the disease when chromosomes 15 and 17 get tangled up.
