No: Cellulitis is an infection. It occurs more often in diabetics, but diet coke is not a causative agent.

What's the cause: Cellulitis is a visible inflammation (itis) of the skin and soft tissues (red, hot, swollen and tender) . It can be caused by many things including sunburn (radiation), trauma (sprained ankle) poor vein circulation (stasis dermatitis). It need not be caused by bacteria. If you have repeated episodes, get to a wound care or vascular specialist, the diagnoses you have is wrong.Coke does not cause it!

How?: '-itis' refers to inflammation drinking coke wont do it at all. Even though coca cola has a reputation for being caustic the skin is tougher than that all it will do is make it sticky if you injected it under the skin? Well don't try that at home!
