No: The cause of cluster headache is not known, but it is a relative of migraine. It runs in families, more common in men, and is not really related generally to smoking, drinking or stress, although in some people there is a specific trigger, and it could be any of those 3 things, and others. In most people, however, it comes and goes in cycles which are specific to that individual and are variable.
