What can high pressure do to the body?

ALOT: Sometimes people with markedly elevated blood pressure may develop: headache, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea and vomiting, and chest pain and shortness of breath. Heart attack, heart failure , stroke or transient ischemic attack (tia), kidney failure, eye damage with progressive vision loss; peripheral arterial disease causing leg pain with walking (claudication).

Blood vessel damage: High blood pressure over a long period of time may be dangerous because it weakens and damages a person’s blood vessels, which may lead to a number of complications. Those may include heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, cause of eye damage, or sexual dysfunction.
