Can major depression cause someone to distrust their spouse, their spouses inentions and to blame spouse for them having depression in the 1st place?

Psychotic depression: Some depressions have psychotic features, including delusional thoughts like one's spouse isn't trustworthy. This is a more complicated form of depression than the usual variety, and may need antipsychotic medication along with antidepressants. If the person has been suspicious all along, this may also be an accentuation of ongoing views of life. Not pleasant for spouses or others, i'm sure.

MAJOR DEPRESSION: Major Depression leads to a breakdown in logic. It is important your husband finds the correct combination of medications with his Psychiatrist. But medications alone are not sufficient because they do not teach coping mechanisms. Psychotherapy with a Clinical Psychologist can help him find ways to handle problems with his thinking and help his medications work better.
