Optimize functioning.: Specialized memory care is set up to help people with dementia be the most functional that they can be. The idea is to compensate for someone's impairments by predictable schedules, a peer group, and easy availability of assistance with adequate supervision for safety. Look for a place that will work for someone with brain problems, not for a place that would have worked for the person before that.

Memory care: The resident will be given specific help w/his/her memory issues. Good choice if you can afford it. Investigate first so you know there really is quality care there. Peace and good health.
