My husband's big toe is pink and swollen a little and has a sore that is bleeding beside the nail. the toe feels warm as if infected. help!?

Paronychia AKA: Infected ingrown toenail. Warm soaks in epsom salts may help inflammation, but ultimately needs to see doc/podiatrist for treatment, which may include antibiotics &/or removal of part of nail. Prevention: shoes that fit with adequate toebox & length (no pointy toes). Buy shoes late in day when feet are larger. Proper nail care.
