Threatened abortion.: Cervical incompetence, infection, placenta previa, fibroids, fetal anomalies could all cause you to have threatened abortion (i.e. Opening cervix and vaginal bleeding at 18 weeks. Please see your obstetrician to get to the bottom of this asap. My advice would be modified bed-rest, complete pelvic rest and serial examinations and ultrasounds by a maternal-fetal medicine specialist. Best of luck!
