A member asked:

Used a lite absorbency tampon. no blood on the top only minimal on the bottom. how would this happen ? is the bleeding not coming from the cervix/uterus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tampon ?'s: You may be inserting the tampon too far into the vagina, which would "protect" the "top" of the tampon from contact with blood coming from the cervical canal . If the flow of blood is minimal, it would all be absorbed by the first part of the tampon to be in contact with the tip of the cervix.
