Often Age: As we get older, our nails often become more brittle and thin. Taking extra biotin, a safe supplement, has been shown to make nails thicker and stronger. Many patients report that their nails grow faster as well. You can get it inexpensively over the counter. It is worth seeing your doctor, however, as there can be issues associated with poor nail growth that warrant a checkup.
