Check with your doc: As with anything during your pregnancy, you should confirm advice with your personal ob. For my patients i recommend Tums or maalox, sometimes pepcid (famotidine). Avoid pepto-bismal. If that isn't doing the trick, you may need prescription med.

Ginger: You already received some medication recommendations. How about homemade ginger tea? Places slices of fresh organic ginger in boiling water. Place the top on the teapot and steep for five minutes . Slip slowly. Or consider crystallized ginger.

Many things : Tums, rolaids, and maalox are all good when you have the symptoms. Zantac, nexium, (esomeprazole) omeprazole, prevacid, Prilosec are all good options to prevent daily occurrences. Those must be taken daily to prevent the symptoms.
