Not much: During mono the liver is usually inflamed to some degree making it hard for it to complete all it's work, such as detoxifying the alcohol you ingested. At some level, the alcohol can cause liver cell injury,but this organ self heals over time unless the injury is chronic. If at some point you kill your liver,you will either need a transplant or will bleed to death.You might try to treat it better
