No: A plain lens (called plano) is clear with no prescription in it. It's like looking through a clear window. Benefits to this option include safety glasses (such as polycarbonate lenses) or fashion frames when no prescription is needed.

No: I assume the questions is whether clear glasses without a prescription cause eye issues. The answer to that question is that clear glasses do nto cause any eye problems.
