Copper question: I understand this time quite a bit better. Good idea to change clothes afterwards, and wash hands before touching eyes. It isn't hugely likely to cause problems with your eyes in the short-term unless you injure your cornea; blindness occurs over time, and when copper is absorbed by the body. Wear proper equipment, change clothes, and wash hands. Good luck!

Not to worry: There is nothing in stained glass work except soldering flux which can harm the eyes. Otherwise I would move my eye office across the street from the local stained glass shop and get lots of business. Copper mineral in the foil glass wrapping is not harmful at all. Keep up the good work and make beautiful glass productions. Don't eat the lead however.
