Sorry to hear that: Herpes 1 and 2 can affect both the mouth and the vagina. It means you may suffer from frequent recurrences or not depending on your immunity to the virus. Recurrent outbreaks can be prevented with oral medication. Whenever you get pregnant you need to report to your obstetrician because a recurrence in labor is an indication for cesarean delivery to prevent infection to the baby.
