Maybe: Lower back pain can be a sign of fibromyalgia, but usually there are more areas of muscle pain and tenderness involved, as well as insomnia and fatigue. Depression is common in fibromyalgia sufferers, too. The paresthesias may be related to something else, and should be looked into -- they may have a herniated disk or nerve impingement, or blood sugar dysregulation, etc. Check with your gen md.
