Rarely affects eye: Trichomonaisis is a fairly common sexually transmitted disease caused by a single celled protozoa. While it is possible a person could get an eye infection from this, it would be very rare. The infection is treated with oral Metronidazole (flagyl), and this should treat the eye infection as well. There should be virtually no risk that this infection would spread from the eye to the brain.

Unlikely: Trichamonas does not typically cause eye infections. Orbital cellulitis can spead to the brain but is usually cause by bacterial infection.
