Where is it from?: Depends on where it comes from. Blood by itself in the urinary tract is usually not normal. While it can be from a bladder infection, this would be expected to have other symptoms (pain with urination, etc). It is important to separate urinary tract blood from menstrual blood but in general, even in someone young, blood that you can see in the urine should probably be evaluated.
