A member asked:

What will happen if a 2 month old neck/head falls back to far?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Define "too far": Infants at 2 months have some control over neck movement.Yet their head is relatively large and rapid unsupported movement can risk stretching and tearing neck muscles. More worrisome would be the possibility that rapid jerking movement with a sudden stop could tear fragile capillaries in babies brain and produce a brain hemorrhage.
