Several: Mood is sad and mostly non responsive to environmental changes, for more than 2 weeks. Sleep changes (either too much or not enough); loss of interest in usual activities; inordinate guilt; lack of energy; difficulty with thinking & concentrating; changes in appetite & weight (usually reduced, but can be increased); agitation or lethargy; suicidal preoccupations and/or plans.
