Opposing states: Laughter can be a discharge of anxiety, thus reducing the feeling of tension people have when "stressed." it's hard to simultaneously feel tense and anxious, while also genuinely laughing. (if the laughter is faked, all bets are off!) "laugh yoga" may start out forced, but everybody eventually cracks up together & it's real. Also, inclusive humor reduces stress also; it brings people together.
