Not all pneumonias..: Transmit directly from person-to-person but if they do, appropriate mask and gowning can be used.

Safe practices: We use safe practices such as universal precautions and we try to have proper hand hygiene and respiratory droplet control. We check workers annually for tuberculosis and vaccinate against pneumonia is the elderly and chronically ill. Pneumonia is still possible but less likely.
