Make an appointment.: Underactive thyroid is easily treatable. A blood pressure of 130/90 is on the margin. Remember that high blood pressure is a major cause of CKD stage 5 - kidney failure requiring dialysis. Don't even go there! get these problems tuned up before you have fewer options available to you. It's well worth the time. Good luck. Linda gromko md.

Nephrologist: This is really a question for your nephrologist as your specific health issues need to be taken into consideration relative to the one reading you've provided. One blood pressure reading is only a moment in time. It's important that your thyroid function is normal. If you're on too much medication for your thyroid it can also raise bp.
