A member asked:

My mother, 84 yrs. has one kidney working 30%. she has congestive heart failure and inoperaple liver cancer. how long , in your opinion, will she live?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

CHF & Cancer: Patients with congestive heart failure and an advanced liver cancer together are, on average, predicted to succumb to their diseases in 6-12 months or less. The more immediate problem of what sounds like impending kidney failure in your mother, unless she opts for dialysis, will probably supervene before the heart and cancer problems take their toll.
