Sexually transmitted: Neisseria gonorrhea is a common sexually transmitted disease that causes an infection of the cervix. If it is untreated it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease and lead to pain and infertility. It is important to get this treated and treat your partner and make sure you do not have intercourse during treatment.
