Salivary gland test: A sialogram is a diagnostic test performed to diagnose blockage of the salivary flow due to stones or strictures. This examination is done by introducing a very thin tube into the opening of the duct and injecting a small amount of liquid and then taking an x-ray.

Sialogram: Imaging of the salivary gland ductwork by injecting a radiopaque dye into the gland/duct and taking a radiograph. This can be useful to detect obstruction or narrowing of the ducts of the parotid, sumbandibular and sublingual glands. Salivary stones can sometimes be located with a sialogram.
