Allergic vs Infectio: Conjunctivitis could be due to allergic reaction or due to infectious causes that may include virus or bacteria most often and less often due to other causes such as fungal or parasitic. Depending on the cause, you may be able to use cosmetics as long as they are not the culprit of your conjunctivitis. Generally, few days after the resolution of infectious conjunctivitis.
