Allergic vs viral vs: Depends upon cause of conjunctivitis which just means inflammation of conjunctiva. If allergic, it will resolve once you get away from allergens. If viral, it will go away on its own. If chemical, you need to rinse out chemical. If bacterial, you'll need some antibiotics. Go see your family doc, optometrist or ophthalmologist to determine which is which & get get appropriate treatment.

Depends: It can get better by itself but you are better off being treated. See your doctor.

Depends: Conjunctivitis can be caused by a virus, bacteria, irritant or allergen. Depending on the cause, the duration of symptoms can vary and the treatment may need the direction of a physician.
