Concerned?: You should be concerned if your face is paralyzed after seeing your dentist. It means there was probably some nerve trauma. If it doesn't start to get a little better soon, your should have it checked by a surgeon or a neurologist.

Absolutely YES: Hopefully we are not confusing paralysis and parenthesia. Best to be seen by the treating provider asap for follow up.

Of course!!!!!!!!!!!: The paralysis can be temporary or permanent. If it lasts more than 24 hours see an oral surgeon asap.

Yes...for how long?: If it's been more than a few hours, i would be very concerned. If it's less than this, it could be bell's palsy. If an injection is given to numb the lower jaw and the anesthetic gets injected too far off-target, it can be delivered into the region of the parotid glad. The facial nerve runs through here and can become 'paralyzed', resulting in loss of muscle control on that side of the face.

Yes.: It is possible that you just need to wait for the anesthesia to wear off. If it is not better now you better see an oral surgeon or neurologist.

Concerned, correct ?: How long are you "numb" after the visit? A few hours is normal, but if it is more than that, then call youe dentist to explain the situation.
