Yes, but...: Yes, some swelling is to be expected after any type of surgical procedure. However, “excessive”, asymmetric, painful, and/or expanding swelling may be a problem; if concerned, best to be evaluated by your surgeon who is in the best position to rule out complications. Best wishes.
