Knee replacement: Complications fortunately are rare after knee replacement. Potential complications include: infection, blood clots (in the legs or lungs), stiffness, patellar instability, nerve or blood vessel injury, dislocation, fracture or complications related to the prosthesis itself. Medical complications can also occur. Talk to your surgeon if you have specific questions.
