Is there a way to control ankle pain?

Possibly: Depends on what is causing the pain. If it's from arthritis, steroid injections, anti inflammatories and bracing may bring relief. If it's an infection, antibiotics are needed. If it's broken, surgery may be required. I would recommend evaluation by either a podiatrist or foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon.

Get evaluated: Ankle pain can have multiple causes including but not limited to trauma, arthritis, tendinitis, infection, and neoplasm. A thorough history and physical followed by diagnostic imaging can help get the answers and treatment you might need.

Depends: There are too many sources of ankle to pain list here. The treatment and the ability to control it would depend on an accurate diagnosis and workup. See a foot and ankle specialist for the right plan.

Control ankle pain: Arch supports with supportive shoes or sneakers. Shoegear will have alot to do with ankle pain. Follow with a foot doctor. Good luck
