Possible: If there is a lot of swelling from the surgery, then you may have swelling around the eyes. More likely, you may be having allergies that are causing the tear ducts to swell. If there is no resolution over the next 2 days consult with your doctor.

Swelling: While it is not typical, swelling and redness of the year ducts is possible if you are experiencing excessive facial swelling. The peak swelling after surgery is the second day (not first) so there should be improvement each day. If no improvement in the next 2-3 days, contact your surgeon/doctor. Be sure to use ice and heat as directed and keep your head elevated at all times.
