Antibiotics: Risen refers to an infected mass: boil, carbuncle. It is often painful, red, swollen, and it is best to see a doctor. Antibiotics can resolve infection when caught early, and incision and drainage is sometimes necessary. If there is only a bump, nontender, without redness, swelling, it is not a risen, and perhaps a sebaceous cyst, lipoma, etc.
