Can a cystis inflammation be seen on a pelvic exam?

Possibly: Cystitis can be suspected but not accurately diagnosed simply by a pelvic exam.

Inflammation: Cystitis cannot be seen on a pap smear because a pap smear tests the cervix. However, inflammation of the cervix (cervicitis) is seen on a pap smear.
