I have been a long time back pain sufferer. epidural steroid injections worked for over 8 years. would you recommend another series of injections ?

Yes: Epidural steroid injections in the spine can be an effective way to manage back pain. Results are often temporary, as the medication itself wears off in three months.

Back pain: If you are now experiencing back pain again after 8 yrs new imaging would be warranted before initiating any treatment to better determine if steroids is a good option.

See your doctor: Based on your history, it sounds like you may benefit from another series of epidurals. Before embarking down this treatment path, however, you would benefit from re-evaluation from a physician to determine the exact cause of your current pain and its suitability to epidural steroid injections.
