Hydrocodon: Both are semi-synthetic opioids. Oxycodon is 4 times stronger due to its metabolits and to hydroxilation at carbon 14. This is why it can stop the breathing even after a long time from administration. The two has similar metabolic pathway in the liver at the p450 cytochrome (hence interraction with many medicines). They cannot metabolize in each other, and can be detected independently by tests.
